Conference Call Recording

I couldn't figure out how to download the recording to my blog so this is the 2nd best thing (it's just an MP3 or wav file so if someone knows how, please let me know).

You can listen to to the conference call unedited by calling in to the following phone number and then entering the pin. I apologize for the wait,  I have had a huge response to this and I hope it can help someone in some way.  There is  no charge unless you are charged for long distance.  The call is about an hour.

Dial - (712) 432-0899

Enter Access Code - 818978#

For more information on Dr. Vinayak please check out his website.  Or you can send an email to chronicallyhealthy@gmail.com and I will forward any emails to him.  I have had a big response to this conference call so it may take a couple of days to get a response.

To answer a few questions that have been directed at me:

  • NO, I do not think this is a cure for Lyme disease.  I think it is a tool.  I am not making any claims and I am not a medical doctor.  I just promised myself that if I found something that worked for me I would shout it from the roof tops.
  • I feel that I am about 80% well since I started seeing Dr. Vinayak back in the beginning of December 2011.
  • I have seen him about 8 times since December and my last session we did right after the conference call remotely using a hand cradle here at my house.  Out of the 8 or so sessions, only 3 have been regular Zyto balancing sessions, the rest have been EVOX.
  • EVOX is Preception Reframing (please read more below).**
  • I still have bad days and I still have a Lyme cycle (flare).  The bad days are few and far between and the flare time is DRASTICALLY different.  I am not suffering anymore.  I suffered.  The pain and sickness was unbearable to me and it was a life of just existing alone.
I am able to do things in my life like shower daily, get dressed daily, do my hair and make up, go out to dinner with my husband, go to the movies, go window shopping, hit the mall (for the first time in December), walk my dogs, start exercising (very lightly), help out my step kids, visit with friends, clean my house, etc.  I attribute all of this success to ripping out my PiCC line, getting off antibiotics (I think the Bionic 880 helped me do that and I may revisit that treatment sometime soon to get the other 20%), and to seeing Dr. Vinayak and balancing my body holistically.  Here is a picture of me yesterday.  I have gained back the weight I had lost, well most of it, I don't want the rest!  I was down to 97 pounds and if you know me it was a big issue of self esteem for me being so skinny and looking so sickly.
I just posted this pic to Facebook yesterday, my husband snapped it of me as we were getting ready to go out to lunch and swing by Costco.

One of the kids and I  (and Martini) a couple of weeks ago.

**EVOX is on the Zyto and it is Perception Reframing.  It is healing one's personal trauma's.  After I started doing it someone pointed out that it is mentioned in the book Insights Into Lyme Disease Treatment by Connie Stasheim (pages 149, 165, 267).  I was able to read the section written by  Dr. Lee Cowden and I wish I could quote what he wrote.  Something along the lines of the EVOX & Zyto helping one heal from Lyme disease.  It was much better than that, but I haven't eaten yet today and I can't remember.

Be Well!!  Be Happy!!

Conference Call for Healing

Hey everyone,

I'm inviting you to listen in on a conference call I asked my practitioner to do with me. My practitioner is Dr Vinayak. You can read his bio on his website electrumhealth.com

How I found Dr. Vinayak:

I had an online friend with Lyme disease make a truly miraculous recovery after discovering him. I was very concerned about her and her family so I would try and keep up with her in a private Facebook group I am a part of. I noticed she had left our private Lyme group. I hadn't seen her post in a couple of months. So I went to her Facebook page and scrolled down and noticed she was living her life as a healthy person. She was volunteering at her children's schools, she was cooking meals and cleaning her house. She would take pictures of herself out and about. It intrigued me. So I made an appointment with her practitioner. I felt I had nothing to lose and I was desperate.

Low and behold, here I am. I would say I am at about 80% functioning. When I am able to work a full time job and be athletic again, I will be at 100%. I just started doing restorative yoga at home so I'm on my way.

I promised myself if something helped me get well, I would shout it from the roof tops. So here I am and this is me shouting. By doing this conference call. There is nothing in it for me and I do not profit in any way except to hopefully inspire and help others and maybe open a door they hadn't opened before.

Not everything works for everyone but I hope somehow this can help even one person get closer to getting their lives back.
On Tuesday, February 7th at 1pm (Pacific Time), call in to the number below:

(712) 432-0800

Enter code 818978# when prompted

Once on the call please press *6 immediately to mute your phone. To unmute your phone, press *6 again to speak and then you may enter it again to mute.

There is no fee for the call unless you are going to be charged long distance by your phone provider. Seems most people have unlimited long distance these days on home phones or cell phones.
I have no idea how many people we will be having on this call. Individual questions can be asked via email given out at the end of the conference call.

I hope this goes smoothly!

Treatment of Chronic Lyme Disease

Click on the picture of the book for more info.

There was a lot of "buzz" on Facebook recently about a new book that was published about Lyme disease.  The book is a collection of essays by a founding member of the IDSA (Infectious Disease Society of America), Dr. Burton Waisbren.  This book consists of 51 essays regarding the treatment of his own patients diagnosed with chronic Lyme disease.  People are really talking about this book and some are saying it is one of the most important books written on the topic to date.  A book written by a founding and current fellow of the IDSA.... exciting!

Green Juice Recipe

I wanted to post the green juice recipe I have been doing daily.  I feel it has really been a factor in healing my body.  When I first started I could literally feel it going into my muscles.  I think "it" specifically was the ginger.  My muscles would tingle and get warm, my entire body would flush.  My husband said he could feel things "firing" in his brain.  In a good way, like things had been connecting that maybe hadn't connected or worked in a while.  We both felt it the other day.  Felt a buzz, but not like an alcohol buzz.  An actually buzzing feeling.

GREEN JUICE RECIPE
(Choose all organic whenever possible.  The only thing I will slide on is lime because I peel it first.  The most important would be celery & cucumber.  If you can't get organic, don't get it at all.)  Do not peel anything except the lime.
Parsley, celery, apple, lime, cucumber, red leaf lettuce, and  ginger in the middle.  Kale is missing this day.

1 granny smith apple
1 cucumber
1 lime (peeled by knife)
1/3 bunch of kale
and/or
1/3 bunch of red leaf lettuce
1/3 bunch of parsley
3 celery pieces (leaves included)
1 chunk 'o ginger (about 2 in piece - I no longer peel this, just wash it)

Sometimes I will do spinach
(MUST be organic) in place of the lettuce or kale.

Depending on your juicer, this should get you about 16 ounces of juice.
I just upgraded my juicer and got 28 ounces in the photo above.  Stir it and drink it right away.  It starts to oxidize and lose it's goodness within 30 minutes.

I had been using a Jack LaLane Juicer prior and it worked fine but since I am a daily juicer and felt I was wasting produce, I upgraded to the Hurom.  It is a different type of juicer.  The Jack LaLane is a centrifuge juicer and it spins around and grinds/shreds the food.  The Hurom is a masticating juicer and it squeezes and presses the juice reserving more enzymes.  The clean up is a lot easier since I upgraded as well.  Regardless, I find juicing to be therapeutic.  Stick with it.  Make it a part of your every day routine.  You'll see changes in your skin, eyes, energy, etc.

I buy my produce every 3 days.

An FYI:  Carrots and beets have a LOT of sugar so I don't use them but it is entirely up to you.  ENJOY!

Healing from Lyme Disease

I am healing.  I feel I am recovering from this disease.  Yes I have been here once before  Back in July, August, September 2010.  But I was on IV meds and had just gotten off of a round of 8 months of twice weekly injections.  This time it's different.  I am on NO DRUGS what so ever.  Ok, that's not entirely true.  My only prescriptions are Ambien and occasional Ativan.  I don't know if it was the Bionic 880 (I did 8 treatments using nosodes) or the therapy I am currently doing (I have a healer that uses ZYTO).  I am guessing it is a combination of the two and of juicing.  Juicing a green juice every morning reduces the inflammation in my body.  I feel better when I do it.

I have accomplished more in this month than I have in the past year.  I finally made it to the eye doctor at Costco.  Haven't worn contacts since my wedding in 2009.  I got the exam I needed and FINALLY got new glasses!  I cannot wait for them to come in.  CAN-NOT-WAIT!

I am stronger, healthier, living my life.  I went out to dinner last night with a gift card we got, I have been Christmas shopping three times (in 1 hour increments & close to home), I have been getting dressed in CLOTHES (not sweats or PJ's) daily, and not stuck in the same clothes for 3 days at a time on my good days.  I have been showering almost daily (bad days I may skip it, but even my bad days aren't too too bad anymore).

I am not saying I am returning to a "normal" level of functioning.  I may never be like I once was or like other "healthy" people.  However, the fact that I can get up out of bed and do things in spurts is amazing to me.  I may still miss out on 2 weeks of life a month, but the other two weeks.....

This is it guys.  2 years and 5 months of acute illness (and possibly years of it weakening my immune system before hand).  Of being told I should "just get out more", be positive, take an anti-depressant, get back in shape, push myself, of becoming disabled by a disease that isn't truly recognized by ANYONE for what it is and what it is capable of.  I am so grateful to my husband for sticking by me.  For doing his best to get me what I needed regardless of our life circumstances.  With no regard to the people that we thought loved us that tried to bring us down and tear us apart.  He could have abandoned me like most everyone else.  Life would have been so much easier on him...

Daryl Hall talks about living with Lyme Disease...

Pop legend Daryl Hall talks about living with Lyme disease, why he is "ticked off" by the local deer population and how he stays youthful at 65.  (I love him, can you tell?)

Great News!

Since stopping my antibiotics just about a month ago (+/-), I have not declined. In fact, my husband thinks I've improved. I did go through my lyme cycle (flare) with limited suffering. That is a HUGE plus. Maybe this light therapy that I am doing is working. I have had 6 treatments and if all goes as planned I will finish the 10 treatments within the next 2 weeks. I had 3 consecutive weeks where I could only go once a week. 1 week because of a lack of funds, one week because of the holidays and then this week because I had to cancel an appointment because my husband had horrible food poisoning and couldn't take me. GREAT news (in order of appearance): I was approved fully for disability. After almost 2 years, 2 denials, an attorney and a hearing before an administrative judge, and then a two month wait, the judges decision was "Fully Favorable". It was sometimes a stressful process. I don't think I would have been approved without my attorney. He countered the expert witness testifying against me on several instances. This is a huge relief to me and my husband. I got my PiCC line out!!!!! I have been begging my doctor for months and he finally agreed. It was a fast and
Old picture of my PiCC line

painless process. My skin underneath the dressing is not happy . I have a rash from my stat lock but it will go way. The hole is healing. It is now a little slit where the made the scalpel cut but it isn't sealed yet so I am keeping it covered and sterile. Cannot WAIT to take a normal shower!!!! I will also try to find some way to be submerged in water. 17 months is a long time to go without full submerging! 2 summers no swimming!! Not that I've felt well enough to go swimming often, but it would be nice to cool off in the heat and be able to wade in the ocean. A hot tub and bath will be nice, and I am hoping I can do some swimming for therapy. I feel FREE!!! I feel liberated!! I hope I never have to get another one. 2 was plenty.
I have the hole covered and the rash exposed so it can heal.

And finally, my stepson made the HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM! He has tried out twice and not made it and this year, he has made the JV team! We are THRILLED and so proud of him. This is a REALLY big deal as baseball is his life. He hopes to become a professional baseball player one day.

There is some not so good news..... My oldest and largest dog, Rover (we call him big boy) was unable to get up off my bathroom floor the other morning. I had slept in and when I awoke, I knew something wasn't right with him. Home alone, no way to get him down the stairs (95lbs) and to the vet, I stayed with him until I could reach my husband and he could make it home. He did not appear to be in any pain, just couldn't get up. So I took all his vitals (temp, respiratory rate, heart rate) and just sat on the bathroom floor petting him. We got him in the car (with difficulty) and to the vet. The vet seemed to suspect something right away and he was right. Rover has a large mass on his spleen. We are to just spoil him and give him love until the time comes or he let's us know it's time for us to intervene. The vet's own dog happens to have the same issue. We love our Big Boy and will do all we can to keep him comfortable but will not allow him to suffer. He is very valuable to our family. He is a fearless guard dog and an all around good family dog. Love all members equally. My handsome boy.....
