I've Had It Up to HERE!

My trusty pharmacy could no longer get my rocephin at the price they have been getting it for me, so I need to find another supplier.  It's so hard. I am so sick of calling around, getting a new order from my doctor, etc.  It's work, stressful work.  My old pharmacy would send it to me & then bill me.  But now I need to come up with the money up front.  Rent is due tomorrow........

Burrascano Notes from March 21st talk

PLEASE NOTE:  Because the presentation was so dense and rich with information, there may be some info that was left out.

Dr.  Burrascano has treated over 10,000 patients with Lyme since early ‘80s.

“It is up to you. Learn as much as possible. Do as much as possible. Have a positive attitude.”

Dr. Burrascano’s definition of Lyme Disease
“Lyme disease is the illness that results from the bite of an infected deer tick; it’s not one germ.”

Jinx 1-2-3, you owe me a coke!

Jinxing myself

I've been doing really well.  I am herxing a bit, but still getting out & about.  Went to the library yesterday & cruised Walmart for about an hour. The herx hit in Walmart & I wasn't sure I could even walk to my car at the end of the lot.  Got home & I was toast.

Recovering Well & a 2nd PiCC Line

I bounced right back after surgery.  Pretty happy since in the back of my mind, I was concerned about having surgery with active Lyme.  No problems.  Then I had to go back to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center less than a week later to fix my PiCC line.  Well, I ended up getting a new one entirely.  It was odd because other than the shot of Lidocaine, I didn't feel the first PiCC line at all.  But on this one, I felt the shot (like a bee sting), I felt them pull out my old line (I could feel it in my chest!), and I felt him threading the new one it.  So odd.  It seemed to take a lot longer too.  Although this time I didn't take a valium or ativan before hand.  Been there, done that.

It hurt like heck for about a day or so and now I'm fine, back to normal.  That hospital is so great.

What could go wrong now?

Recovering well from surgery, but my PiCC line is now clogged.  If it isn't one thing, it's another!  UGH!  Need to get back on my meds before the bacteria takes over!  Now my poor husband has to drive me back to Los Angles to Cedars tomorrow to deal with the PiCC line issue.  Hope maybe I can get my post-op taken care of at the same time since this ends up being an all day excursion & my husband misses work (again).

Hospital Stay

Been at Cedars-Sinai hospital since Tuesday.  Should be discharging today.  I'll update more when I'm feeling up to it and on less drugs.  Let's just say that gallbladder had to come out!

Another Attack

I had another Gallbladder attack last night.  Started right before bed.  Same back pain, I looked up natural remedies.  I found Apple Cider Vinegar in apple juice.  My husband ran to the store to get it.  I downed it.  Tasted pretty good.  Still progressed.

This attack progressed much faster than the last one. Went to the hospital,

GALLSTONES!!!

I landed in the hospital again 3 days ago (Friday early AM).  My back was hurting before I went to sleep.  I woke up around 1:30am (an hour later) with pretty severe pain.  I tried to "tough it out" so that I didn't have another ER bill.  But boy was that a big mistake.  I had taken a Benedryl that night so that I could sleep hard since I hadn't been sleeping that well.  Staying up really late again.

I tried to be tough.  My husband had got me a heating pad for my back & it seemed to help a tiny bit.  He kept telling me to take an ibuprofen.  That irritated the crap out of me since he knows when it comes to pain from Lyme Disease, NOTHING TOUCHES IT.  Well, except Ketamine.  But I'm all out....

Since I thought maybe I was herxing, I took a couple of activated charcoals & my husband made me lemon water.  The lemon water made my stomach HURT!  It started to burn.  I was burping a lot.  I told him it felt like I was being squeezed around my middle or a car was sitting on me.  I laid there until about 4am in pain, sometimes the pain was so bad I was writhing.  I couldn't get comfortable, I was literally squirming & moaning.  I went & reheated it in the microwave then I kind of dozed off for about an hour.  I was thinking I was having a herx & it was subsiding.  I awoke an hour later in pain again, so I went & reheated my heating pad.  While I was downstairs waiting for it I was in agony.  I came upstairs & tried to get it to work.  I noticed my right side & abdomen hurting then & I started to think, "Could this be my gallbladder?  I am on IV Rocephin..."

Family

You know what?  I don't think a single family member reads my blog.  They know about it.  But you'd think since they don't call & check on me, they'd at least be keeping tabs on me via my blog, right?  I don't think so.  I guess they think I should call them when I am sick & let them know how I am doing.  Um, no, I don't want to talk about this blessed disease all the time.  I talk about it on Facebook because I have a lot of lyme friends, etc. But if you call me on the phone, the last thing I am wanting to talk about is my crappy disease.

My mom calls & checks on me.  I am referring to my dad, my sister, my nana, my uncle, my nieces, etc.  I talk to my brother every once in a while (and I've only known my brother for a few years).  A lot more than I do my sister.  My auntie has called me a few times to check on me.  I love her.  I guess I'm probably just pissed off at my sister for not giving a rat's ass.  Or at least for not appearing to.  I have spoken to her MAYBE twice in the last year.  It's  me calling her, oh wait, she did call me about 8 months ago to give me news about one of my nieces.  Funny thing, when the phone rang & I saw it was her, I knew what the news would be & that was why she was calling.  Not to see how I was doing or if I was making progress or needed any moral support.  You know, being basically locked up in a house for nearly 2 years is such a joy!

GOOT (Garlic Olive Oil Treatment)

Garlic Oil Treatment

Anti-infective/Anti-fungal/Anti-parasitic

3 Tablespoons of Coconut oil

3 Tablespoons of Olive oil

3 Tablespoons of garlic, peel then chop, cover with oil quickly

MAKING GOOT

Gently warm Coconut oil over stove until melted, remove from heat and add olive oil, blend. Chop or crush garlic into a bowl (I think crushing would be best). Use about 3 medium sized cloves, (not the whole bulb). Immediately add the oil mixture.
Cover container and let rest for 20 minutes then strain to remove chunks of garlic.  I use a fine mesh coffee strainer I picked up cheap at the grocery store. Pour your mixture into a small glass container and store covered in the refrigerator.

Freshly made, Goot is a milky color and runny. GOOT turns into a thick soft paste after one hour in the fridge. Goot is good for about 6 weeks if kept in the fridge and never contaminated. Use a spoon or knife to take some from the container, don't put your fingers in there.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES & DIRECTIONS.

GOOT, rubbed into the skin, transfers raw garlic oil directly into the blood stream.  Apply on the feet of children or infants and adults to fight infections. Rub on chest for chest colds, pneumonia or rub into nostrils for sinus infections (chest & nostrils may not be a good idea for small children).  Place on a cotton swab for ear infections. Apply directly to sores inside the mouth. Rub on Athlete's foot or genital area for jock itch. Insert GOOT into affected area for yeast or other related infections. Apply on rashes any place. GOOT kills Candida, parasites, bad bacteria and virus by direct application.

In addition, it treats systemic infections by absorption through the skin into the blood supply and travels throughout the body.

A Google search for GOOT or garlic oil salve brings up lots of great info.
